What is your artist name? Can you tell us a bit about the genesis of your project?

My name is Bina Bianca and I have been a musician on the internet since 2008. During my studies, I started writing tribute songs for computer games. At that time, I had absolutely no idea about composing or mixing, but obviously, I had quite a talent for it (or a good ear). Nowadays, I no longer write big compositions, but small songs about everyday topics, because I don't feel like writing about love.

How did you get into music and who are your influences?

I initially started with music because I wanted to get to know a YouTube musician named Malukah. She reacted directly to my first song and I couldn't have been happier. Then I just continued on my own. I don't really have any musical role models, but I love the music and lyrics of Dodie very much.

Who has inspired or accompanied you on your journey, and how?

One of my absolute favorite people is Vincent Lee. He is not only an incredible composer/musician/producer, but also one of the most wonderful and lovely people I have ever met in my life. Vincent, if you're reading this, YOU'RE GREAT!

How would you describe your music or your sound?

Cute, wonderful, wild, creative, and strange.

What was the most formative experience in your career so far?

That suddenly there were so many people sending me messages about how much my little songs help them in their everyday life, and provide at least a few seconds of distraction from problems and worries. I'm not really coming to terms with the fact that this has really happened.

Can you tell us about the highs and lows of your musical career? How did you overcome them and what did you learn from them?

I believe one of the most important things I've learned is that you will always find your niche. That you will keep having small, viral moments and that organic growth is very pleasant for the psyche. People notice when you create content that doesn't fit you. People also notice when you have really good intentions.

How did you come across MusicHub and why did you choose our platform?

As an independent artist who not only makes the music and videos herself, but also handles all the administrative work around it, I wanted to take my music to a distributor that works closely with GEMA, hoping that this would help me remove at least some of the stumbling blocks for rights/accounting. I will report whether this wish will come true!

What goals do you still want to achieve? What are your plans for the future?

I always say that I've achieved much more than I could have ever dreamed of. I have reached people and I have brought them joy and smiles. That's all I want and everything that comes now is just the cherry on top.
